If they're in South Dakota, they're probably dying of boredom. (Okay, that was really callous. Sorry.) What about the infant mortality rate? Is it due to lack of medical care?
well, as surprising as this might be, usually (although not always) socioeconomically disadvantaged groups have lower life expectancy. why? they've probably had poorer health care their whole lives, eaten poorer diets (since healthy food is more expensive than crap food in our country), lived in worse housing and neighborhoods, had more psychological stress, worked in more dangerous jobs, and lived near more hazardous waste sites, to name a few possible reasons.
